Easter and religion

For the Christians the ressurection of Jesus is a central happening for their belief. Herewith, death is seen as a beginning of a new life rather than an end.

In the Christianity the Easter time lasts 50 days until pentecost.

Further christian holidays in this time are to be found are in the passion/holy week with the palm Sunday and the maunday Thursday.

The holy/passion Friday and the Easter Sunday are important days in the christian holiday calender.

The holy/passion Saturday is the day of mourning and of the Easter night.
The Easter Monday rounds off the Easter feast.
