Easter customs

The Easter bunny is known today as an easterly egg bringer. First vouchers for the Easter bunny from the year 1678 are from George Franck.

Easter eggs are the eggs which are colorful and made out of different material fashions and are meant to be given away at the Easter feast.

The Easter lamb was originated out of the ritual of the Jews; the lamb is meant to be sloughtered and eaten for the passover.

The Easter fire stands as the symbol for the sun, which is the center of our lives.

In the Easter candle the greek, jewish, roman and christian light tradition come together.

Like a lot of other customs, the Easter water goes back to a pre-christian origin.
