Until far into the 20th century, writing had to be generated by hand, for it gave are no other possibility; to typewriter or computer, seen
in writing, developments of the present. Before the invention of the printing, even the total literature in handwritten generated books was
delivered. A pretty writing was able to represent therefore already a good acquisition source. Of the monotonous and the clear appearance
picture of machine writing, the persons only were able to dream about. The correct and pretty execution of the letters made much effort
and requires long practicing. The most important and most valuable writings were carried out therefore by specially trained master with
largest care, and it always came on that on to produce a typeface, in which each letter, each line, each sheet of the ideal form came so
nearly how possible. So already early a writing aesthetics, that knew to judge good forms with taste, developed itself. To enjoy it remained
to be sure only some of few dedicated and socially superior persons reserve. The mass of the population was ignorant of writing .
The writing story of the modern age is stamped in that the production of the writing extends itself next to manual procedures now also on
mechanical and electronic.
